Makino, a world leader in metal cutting and manufacturing technology, is seeking a Customer Finance In-house Sales Representative in their Mason, OH or Auburn Hills, MI location. This position reports directly to the Regional Finance Manager and is responsible for  supporting the finance activities of Makino Capital Services and will include working with sales personnel, distributors and directly with customers facilitating and maximizing the sale of equipment by way of structuring creative long term financing arrangements that meet the customers cash flow and business requirements. 

This role is responsible for:

·         Identifying new business opportunities from existing Makino customer relationships and through Makino proprietary sales tools.

·         Assisting the Regional Finance Manager in origination, underwriting and syndication.

·         Serving as alternate contact for customers and distributor sales reps when Regional Finance Manager in not available.

·         Assisting with ongoing communication with all Makino Sales channels.

·         Serving as a liaison between Makino, customer and funding sources.

Qualified Candidates should be a team player and a self-starter, and have:

·         Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2-5 years experience in underwriting equipment lease or commercial finance transactions.

·         Experience with equipment leasing or commercial experience in transactions ranging between $100,000 and $350,000.

·         Understanding of lease accounting and tax implications from lessee and lessor perspective.

·         Ability to price and structure basic lease transactions.

·         Solid understanding of credit and credit approval process, financial statements and lease documentation.

·         Strong organizational skills with good time management experience.

·         Excellent communication, presentation and PC skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

·         Working knowledge of financial calculator (HP17B, 12C or equivalent) T-Value, and InfoAnalysis.

·         Ability to interface with all levels of management including customers.

·         Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
