Single Source Technologies, representing Makino as well as other high end machine tool products, is a single-source provider of machine tools, engineering services, tooling, supplies, application support and customer service throughout North America. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Manager for Canada, based at our Toronto, Ontario, location.

 

Reporting to the President of the company this position is responsible for making frequent customer visits to assess current service performance and determine future customers needs, working with customers to indentify service methods required and handling all French customer needs for technical support and part orders (fluency in French is required).

 

This role is responsible for:

 

  • Identifying key customer deliverables to ensure customer intimacy and support for all current service needs.
  • Developing and expanding service offerings to Canadian market (planned maintenance, equipment uptime optimization) and improving the service image in Canada.
  • Acting as key contact point for all service related issues in Canada including – installation, warranty, planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Scheduling by prioritizing customer needs to resources.
  • Working with customers to provide Single Source for all service needs.
  • Coaching and mentoring the service team – providing guidance on customer intimacy leading to market differentiation.
  • Identifying problem solving skills of team and standardizing methodology for problem identification and resolution.
  • Providing planning for service organization to allow for current stability and future growth.
  • Troubleshooting Makino product (via METRIX) and complimentary products as directed (transferring calls to OEM).
  • Handling questions and issues with Field Service Technicians.
  • Coordinating local electrical, CSA, etc. requirements.

 

Qualified Candidates should be a team player and a self-starter, and have:

 

·         High School and a Technical College degree

·         Minimum 3-5 years experience in the manufacturing/milling industry

·         Knowledge of CNC Machining and understanding of milling practices and processes

·         Prior experience as a customer service manager or supervisor

·         Excellent communication and customer relation skills

·         Good computer skills and knowledge working with MS Office

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure

·         Solid time management, prioritization and organizational skills

·         Willingness to travel as required
